The Achievement Centers

The Achievement Centers contain all the key ingredients necessary to help youth develop their strengths, confidence in their ability to succeed, a sense of belonging, and important ways to value and serve the larger community. There is a diversity of wraparound supports and service providers available to DC youth and committed youth at the ACs. The following available services and supports purposefully emphasize the key areas of work, education, relationships, community, health, and creativity:

DOLLS & DREAMS

Empowering the next generation through entrepreneurship, fashion, and vocational training, equipping youth with the skills to create, innovate, and lead.

 

The Academy by Creative Solutions

The Academy curriculum is structured to introduce and teach a maximum of 10 youths per session about the process of songwriting, recording, and music video production. The curriculum includes industry experts and guests, hands-on tasks and assignments, and discussions of various music industry-related topics such as marketing and the positive use of social media. The curriculum exposes the students to various facets of the music and entertainment industry and provides them with training and insight into the skills and dedication required to seek, find, and maintain employment.
